Promo Video – part 2

So the papers with hand drawn figures on them has been processed by the creative minds of DIW.se and we just entered the recording studio. Pictured is Simon posing for his Attitude Shot. You might not see the explosions, but that’s just cause they’re too big and my phone doesn’t have a fisheye lens.
Gear from sVENSKT PSYKO

Today we recieved t-shirts and socks from sVENSKT PSYKO that we will be wearing when we film the new intro togheter with DIW.se.
sVENSKT PSYKO have the amazing idea of selling “angry socks” instead of the lamer version “happy socks”, who can resist that? I couldn’t.
Marcus at DIW have refined the ideas I had and have put togheter a script that I think will be awesome!
We will be filming on Monday and the final product will be complete a couple of weeks after that.
Game in the making
We are slowly making progress in on our new game.
In the game you will be able to find a whole lot of stuff to equip your character with and the graphical style is very bright round and vectorish.
There will be a really simple combat system with just two stats, offensive and defensive and all the parts you equip your character with have these stats, even the nose and right and left ear.
Some items will form sets that give you benefits in combat.
On the design front we are still thinking about how the crafting system will work, that is one part of the game that we hope will be fun but for now it’s almost at zero.

Simon is making all kinds of graphics for characters, tiles for the world, backdrops and more. Above is a mockup of the fighting sequence.
On the code side we are currently working to get the level editor upp and running and backing up old versions of levels and all stuff you would want. We are saving the levels in a mysql database using AMFPHP to talk to PHP-files from flash. Below is a pic of the editor.
Promo video – part 1
We are working together with DIW.se to produce a new intro to our games and to have as an introduction video on this site.
This is the first rough sketch of how the video will look.
